Goldman-Sachs Commands Respect on Wall Street
Investment banking is a highly competitive, stressful job at any level of an investment banking firm. Whether you are an intern, analyst, or associate at one of the many firms, you will command respect from your peers if you can land a job at one of the more prestigious firms such as Goldman-Sachs.
Goldman-Sachs and other firms of similar stature have gotten some bad press as of late because of the financial crisis, but the fact remains that these companies continue to keep the U.S. economy, and the economies of the rest of the world, afloat and intact. Nearly every position in Goldman Sachs requires years of education, dedication, focus, and the ability to perform at high levels under pressure.
The fact that firms such as Goldman-Sachs command respect on Wall Street is no accident. When you put every aspect of this firm into context, what you get is a clear picture of a firm that is on top of the financial world for good reason. They deserve it. Goldman-Sachs is proof positive that a strong work ethic still pays off in America. More companies need to do more than just respect Goldman-Sachs, they really should emulate them as well.
